The Wanna Be Bride – Part 5

Well I have come to the conclusion that until I get a proposal, I don’t want to talk much about the wedding. I mean I do, but I’ve discovered I really can’t talk much about it with anyone besides close friends.
Without a ring, others just don’t take you very seriously. I’m sure it’s because people talk to so many wanna-be-bride’s that they have a tendency to tune us wanna-be’s out after awhile. Without the ring, it’s nothing but talk – with a little hoping and dreaming mixed in for good measure.
Good news on the ring front though. Because I am such a prying snoop, I have found out that he has saved-up three-quarters of the funds for the ring. He has also been hinting at taking a trip to visit his parents before Christmas. They live near Seattle; a city that I love!
We took our first two trips together to the Seattle area. Anyway, since he knows I love Seattle, I’m thinking, he’s thinking, that maybe Seattle would be a good place to propose to me. Well… we will see! And I promise to keep you posted.
On a slightly different front, I checked out some more bride magazines at the library the other day. But with a 40 hour job and a college class, its really tuff to set time aside to read about or do research on weddings.
So right now, everything seems to be in limbo. There is only so much a wanna-be-bride can do before she graduates from wanna-be to a real official bride-to-be. That doesn’t mean that I won’t keep trying though.
Yours truly,
The Wanna-Be-Bride
