Reception Recipes – Gloria’s Jell-O Salad,and Marinated Bean Salad
The children just love this Jell-O Salad, and actually, it’s one of my favorites too! The Marinated Bean Salad is very yummy, especially when you get those green peppers and red onions fresh from your garden.
Gloria’s Jell-O Salad
1 – 6oz. box cherry jell-o
2 c. boiling water
Pour boiling water over Jell-O.
When dissolved, add:
1 – can cherry pie filling
1 – 20 oz. can crushed pineapple
Put into a greased 9 x 13 pan, and chill.
Topping:
Mix, and spread over chilled and firm Jell-O
1 – pkg. 8oz. cream cheese (room temperature)
1 c. sour cream
½ c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
You can also substitute: Black cherry Jell-O and Blackberry pie filling
