The Christmas rush is over! It was a crazy last few weeks and not much time left over to spend on wedding plans. I did get to meet with my wedding planner though, and it went great. We both listed tasks we had to get done by our next meeting, which is in two days. I have completed most of my list, still have to call the DJ though.

I have so many wedding magazines lying around my room! Most are missing pictures or articles that I have carefully glued in place in my scrapbook of ideas. Lots of wedding dresses and flowers cut out, plus many ideas for the ceremony and reception. With all the pictures of beautiful dresses filling my scrapbook, I can’t wait to dress shop! We will do it the end of January or beginning of February. Can’t wait to try them all on.

Our next meeting we are going to meet with a  florist. She is someone local who is friends with my Grandparents on my dad’s side. We will see what kind of deals she has for us. More than prices, I am interested in figuring out what I want my flowers to be. I’m not sure which types I want. Lilies or roses, foliage, etc. Florist shops are always fun and smell so good, I can’t wait!

It seems like we are getting a good first grasp on the main part of the wedding. The photographer is reserved, for the officiant we have to take a 6 week course, the DJ will play the songs off my i-pod, and the ceremony and reception will be at my parents.  And… after the flowers we will start looking at stationary. So much to do but all flowing nicely. Oh yes, there is also a bridal fair coming up that I can’t wait to go too! I’m sure I’ll gather tons more ideas from that and lots more to tell you all next time!

From… a so far relaxed, and not overly-stressed, gonna be bride.
