The Wanna Be Bride – Part 16
Flowers are done – check! The florist experience was wonderful and exactly how I hoped it would go. We were a little late showing up to her shop, but once we got there we were ushered into a side room with a small table that was covered with magazines and books galore. With the florist and my mother by my side, we went through many books, selecting flowers and gathering ideas for the perfect bouquets.
Jennifer, the florist, was great at listening to my ideas and trying her hardest to make them a reality. I wanted very natural, flowing arrangements of flowers for me and the girls. I also wanted to stay away from roses. And… for the bridesmaids, I only wanted one color in their bouquets – all green. Jennifer thought that was an interesting and fun idea and showed me tons of green flowers that matched exactly what I had imagined.
After about an hour discussing different ideas and making sure we had everyone covered, we were sent on our way. The estimate, would be emailed to me sometime the following week. I got the estimate on a Thursday and on it she included all the names of the flowers that are going to be used in the bouquets. A week later I went online and looked each of them up, just to make sure I still liked them. I did! I emailed her back saying we were on. Her prompt response was, she’s excited to make this a reality, and can’t wait for my big day. I cant wait either. It all seems more real every day.
