The Wanna Be Bride – Part 21
Well, its kind of been a down week. Not much wedding planning going on. I had mid-terms for school, which took the majority of my time. I did get a few things done though – like looking for invitations.
I never knew paper could be so expensive. We looked into paper and printing through our local small town newspaper with no luck. I spent hours on the Internet, and still no results. Then by chance, I stumbled upon some invitations put out by the magazine Bride in our local Michael’s craft store.
They ran about $39 for a box of 40 invitations. Michael’s sends a 4o% off coupon every Sunday in the newspaper, that would cut down the price of the kit by a lot. Plus, they had many cute designs in the colors of my choice. The kits come with all the supplies and even ribbon depending on the card you choose. The only hard part would be figuring out how to print on the already cut to size invites. We might have to buy a set and just mess around with it and see how it works.
Other than that, life has just been crazy. Work has been slightly tense, add that along with school, planning a wedding, and never enough sleep – things can get a little stressful. Anytime I get down and start stressing, I think about the wedding day, and how much fun Hawaii will be for the 10 days after.
Next week my goals are to contact a few more people and finalise some things. And… get together with one of my bridesmaids that I never see anymore. My little flower girl must also get her card in the mail asking her to “throw the flowers” at my wedding. So much to do, but the sun is shining today and it all seems possible. Until next week.
