Before and After
For the next few day’s I would like to envite you to a series of blog posts on “Setting The Stage.” What will your stage need? Are there things you need to purchase, build or construct so things will be ready get or prepair for so the performance will run smoothley?

At first glance, you might wonder how it could be possible to go from bare to beautiful landscape. Well let me reassure you it takes lots of hard work, but oh, the rewards.
My husband and I are very blessed to have both come from families where our mothers loved to garden. Now when I was a child of course, I did not look on it as a blessing. Weeding and watering were not high on my list of fun things to do when I was growing up. However, I am now thankful that their love of plants has rubbed off on us.
Most of the flowers in our flower beds are courtesy of our mothers. Each spring and fall they shower us with starts from their home gardens or their great finds at the store that they just couldn’t pass up. But still, we couldn’t expect them to supply plants for our entire yard; it really is huge.
We also made good use of the Gurney’s seed and Nursery Co. Catalog, you know, the one that comes in the mail each spring. This year we had a reason to order, our daughters wedding. Our yard is still in the beginning stages and it needs all the help it can get. It will really take years to get it perfected, but we had to do our best to make it presentable for our special day.
After gathering all our plants and getting them in place, we then spent the rest of the summer caring for them. And as the photo shows, what a difference it made.
What will your before and after look like?
Teri
