A Porch Swing Belongs Here

This is the second post in a four part series. If you didn’t catch the first, here’s the link:  Bricks…

Can you just picture this swing gliding back and forth between these two trees? I’ll have to move the rock and wheel barrow of course and find the lawnmower a new resting place.

Oh, another landscape project for my always willing hubby. It’s a good thing he loves me because I’m always rearranging and redoing things. I’m sure I can move the wheel barrow but the rock?

This will be a great spot to take pictures of the lovely bride and groom or anyone else for that matter. I found this swing in a book called 2×4 Projects for Outdoor Living. Up until now I wasn’t sure where it should  go.

I plan to purchase the wood and other essentials for this project soon. The warm weather should be on it’s way and I want to be able to relax in this comfy swing. I’m always looking for a way for my son to learn new skills with dad and this ought to be a fun one.

After the boys are done with their part I’ll get my daughter and we’ll pick up the rest. I love sewing projects! I have a lot of old pillows that I can put to good use. Emily and I’ll  get some fabric and make covers for them.

I’m having so much fun preparing the yard for our future wedding facility. Now I know all of you are not on this track, but if there is an outdoor wedding in your future look at your possibilities. What simple things can you do now that will help your yard be ready for that special day. And then, you’ll also get to enjoy it long after the party’s over!

Enjoying the journey……Teri
