The Wanna Be Bride – Part 2
Let me introduce myself, I’m the Wanna Be Bride? Looking back a few months, I would of laughed and said, “Men are the most stupid things ever created. I don’t need one!” Then along came him.
I had casually known this man for a few years and never thought he had any interest in me. Plus, with my own guy problems, I didn’t give him much thought. But after going a year man free – and proud of it – a coworker said he really would like to meet me and would be coming over to ask me out. I was against the idea at first, but after hearing a little about him, I was intrigued. So sure … I would let him ask me out. Why not give it a shot.
It’s only been about two months, but I have never felt like this before. I know he might not be perfect, but he is for me. From the way he walks, to his crooked smile, to what goes on in his always strategizing and contemplating head, I love him.
Most of my close friends knew right off that this was the real deal. But for the casual friend or acquaintance, our relationship seems a bit over the top: too fast, too soon. So when, a little over a month into our relationship, I wanted to purchase some wedding magazines( The Knot and Bride), I had to be sly about it.
I was leary of buying them myself because I knew so many people who worked in our local store. Bring in the sucker. I forced my girlfriend, who is single by the way, to buy them for me. Sure she probably got some weird looks, but it was worth it. We oogled over the pages for the next few weeks.
Oh how life can change in only a few months. I went from thinking all guys were stupid, to being “The Wanna Be Bride.”
