Wedding Cake Design: Swarovski & Ribbon

Sometimes, the details are what makes the entire theme of the wedding effective. We have to admit that coming up with colors, materials, decor will need a certain element to pull everything together. We’re after the impact. We’re setting the mood. We’re choosing the best ways to express the couple’s personality, hopefully, carved well into the whole aesthetic effect from the wedding ceremony to the wedding reception.

One of the details that’s important since it’s one of the more noticeable things in this special occasion, is the wedding cake.

This is by far the one of the prettiest wedding cakes I’ve seen. It has a minimalist design which captures and combines simplicity and elegance. Adorned with Swarovski crystals mounted on a wire and thin ribbons wrapped around each layer of the white wedding cake then topped with sugar paste roses, which you can customize into the color of your choice, and looped bear grass made of sugar.

Like I mentioned, colors can easily be applied according to preference; to match the wedding color theme. Each layer can be different in different flavors to suit individual taste palettes. But the important thing is that the effect of this particular detail can be easily molded into the over-all wedding theme.

I love that this sort of design uses details like the Swarovski crystals and ribbons, which are embellishments usually seen on fabrics for clothing, on jewelry, on bags or footwear. It’s unique in its own way. Artistic, too. This adds to our list of wedding inspirations for themes and design, don’t you agree?
