Well, I have shared some things that help keep me sane (Teri’s Blended Mocha, Super Mom Vitamins, and TurboJam/Walking) but I would be lying if I didn’t tell you what really and truly keeps me sane. If I didn’t have a personal relationship with my Jesus all would be lost.

I’ll be heading out the door soon with my family as we go to worship at Calvary Chapel in town. It will be an extra special day for me because all my children will be there.  With their crazy work schedules it rarely works out for us all to be together.

Jesus Christ has seen me through so many of  life’s ups and downs I can not keep track. He is my joy when I am sad, and He is my strength when I just can’t go any further. When things just get too hard and seem hopeless, I’m so glad He listens and He is there. It’s hard to put into words how much I need and depend on my Jesus. Some of you will understand and my hope is that those of you who don’t understand will someday and very soon. I believe real peace and sanity can come only from knowing Jesus.

Sane? A work in progress… Teri :-

Turbo Jam/Walking

Exercise has always been important in my life. Even when I had small children I would put them in the stroller and take them on my walk. As they got older they would ride their bike along side me or they’d also walk.

I don’t exercise because I like to; to me it is a necessity.  I still have a 10 and 12 year old to keep up with, and frankly, I see a lot of people who have not taken care of their bodies and have all kinds of health problems now. I believe some or most of this could have been avoided with a little more discipline in the exercise and diet department.

I am not a fanatic on exercise or diet. I do my 2 mile walk or 30 minute video five days a week and that is enough. But I am consistent in my exercise program, so it has worked well for me. I also have a rule of 5-6 pounds over my goal weight and then it’s diet time. I have had a weight problem all my life:  chubby as a child, etc. I feel plain gross and depressed when I let things get out of hand and this has happened more than I’d like to mention over my lifetime. So…in order to stay sane I must walk or Turbo Jam five days a week.

Is this easy? Heck no! But, it really is a small price to pay.

Sane?  Still working on it… Teri :-
