Ok, so everyone is on Pinterest right?! That is where I get all my cool ideas. My husband wishes I never would have found Pinterest. I know that sounds harsh… but I really think it’s true.
I get goosebumps just thinking about how cute this will be when: the door is fixed, the windows (which I need to get the glass panes put back in and frame worked on) are in, the paint is scraped off (I do like the color and plan to get the same) and repainted, It gets a new roof with water drain, and is stabilized on it’s foundation.
Whew! It does need a lot of work… minor really for how beautiful it will become in a short while. Oh! And… Jaryd my 12 year old son is making me two window boxes, one for under each window. After a few other details are looked after it will be to die for.
After my projects are completed my husband usually admits it really does look nice. This is for his yard tools too… so it really was a good find?!
What’s your spring project?
I haven’t been on vacation…really. I have been working hard in my little office getting ready to launch my new website.
I can’t give out any information yet, but soon! I’m very excited about this new project and I hope you will find it helpful.
My heart is to help families, and that includes mine, in planning and organizing beautiful backyard weddings without having to pay for the wedding long after it is over.
I have lots of ideas to share and…well, I really do not want to spoil what’s coming. So…be on the look-out for my announcement.
Outdoor wedding season is on it’s way… let’s get ready!
No post for weeks! And I have so much to say…and no time to get it in print. I home-school and things are winding down, trying to get finished up on all our subjects. We will be doing a few things like math facts, journals and read books through the summer, so I’ve been getting that in place.
My husband and I just finished up planting the garden so I need to get grass clippings around all my plants to help keep the moisture in and the weeds out! And, my brother dropped off four loads of rocks for finishing up the rock wall on the lower lawn and making a new one around our “someday barn area”.
Ah the barn… will it ever get started? We keep changing our minds on design and if we should do it ourselves as opposed to having it done. Oh, and the colors, now that has given me nightmares. I don’t want it to stand out but blend in with the landscape. I look at it out my kitchen window so it can’t be yellow. There are only a few shades of yellow I like.
Picky? Um… yes. It will be there forever. Should we even be doing this? What if my husband loses his job, which they keep saying could happen because of downsizing. However, we are starting a business and the barn is very important. We decided to keep on going. The barn is in year one of our five year plan.
We believe this is the path that was set before us and we will press on. I think Winding Up is about to happen. Oh… did I mention the bricks I have to put under the pergola, bark for flowerbeds, more furniture and order and hang mirrors for the bridal room of our wedding facility, work on my new website, you get the idea.
Writing will be hit and miss for the summer as I am working on all my projects. I am taking before and after pictures to share along the way. What does your summer plans look like?
